St. Luke's, Burton

St. Luke's Church, Salisbury Road, Burton BH23 7JN
St. Luke's was built between 1874 - 6 to the designs of Benjamin Ferrey and Son. The foundation stone was laid on 15th April 1874 and the church was opened in 1876. It is of red brick with limestone dressings. The west end of the church faces onto the village green and is thus a notable landmark in the village. Inside, St. Luke's features panels on the east wall featuring the Creed, Lord's Prayer and Ten Commandments. On the West wall is the village war memorial with many names from both world wars and more recent conflicts.
The adjacent Church Hall is much used by various clubs and events and features modern facilities.
There is some parking in the church grounds and plenty on Salisbury Road.
St. Luke's is open each day for prayer and a bit of quiet.

We do have a churchyard behind the church. There is a summary of the Diocese of Winchester Churchyard Regulations for memorials at
