St. Luke's Church, Salisbury Road, Burton BH23 7JN
St. Luke's was built between 1874 - 6 to the designs of Benjamin Ferrey and Son. The foundation stone was laid on 15th April 1874 and the church was opened in 1876. It is of red brick with limestone dressings. The west end of the church faces onto the village green and is thus a notable landmark in the village. Inside, St. Luke's features panels on the east wall featuring the Creed, Lord's Prayer and Ten Commandments. On the West wall is the village war memorial with many names from both world wars and more recent conflicts.
The adjacent Church Hall is much used by various clubs and events and features modern facilities.
There is some parking in the church grounds and plenty on Salisbury Road.
Sadly, due to Coronavirus restrictions we've not been able to leave St. Luke's open each day, but if you would like to come to the church for some quiet prayer and contemplation you can arrange this by getting in touch with the St Luke's Church Wardens via our Contacts Page.
