Study and Chat
Our present theme for Study and Chat is Contentment and this month we looked at part of the first letter of Paul to the much younger Timothy. We thought about contentment in the young and as we get older. One of our group shared this insightful and beautiful picture that came to mind and I asked if I might share it with you. May it bless you as it did us…
I had a picture of a tapestry which was incomplete. The tapestry relates to our individual life events and the experiences we have encountered. God the creator of this tapestry has and will be with us. He has been on all our journeys - past, present and in the future. Don’t think because you might feel old and futile you have no purpose. Remember, God hasn’t finished with you yet. He wants to remind you the tapestry isn’t finished yet and for you to remember individually you have a purpose and a role to fulfil. The colours of the tapestry too are significant. There are bright colours which remind us of the good times. The dark colours signify the tough times you have or may experience. Remember you are not alone. God has been and will be with you and He has and will always safely guide you through such times. God continues to remain forever faithful and wants to continually bless you.
Sixteenth Sunday after Trinity – 15th September
