Benefice Services for Fifth Sunday of Easter – 18th May

Collect:  Almighty God, who through your only – begotten Son, Jesus Christ have overcome death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life: grant that, as by your grace going before us you put into our minds good desires, so by your continual help we may bring them to good effect; through Jesus Christ our risen Lord, who is alive and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen
Post Communion Prayer:  Eternal God, whose Son Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life: grant us to walk in his way, to rejoice in his truth, and to share his risen life; who is alive and reigns, now and for ever.  Amen

APCM (Annual Parochial Church Meeting)
The APCM for St Luke’s is on Sunday 18th May, in the Church Hall, after the morning Eucharist service. Please do stay for this annual meeting. Please do come and use your voting rights if you are on the new Electoral Roll. 
Electoral Roll:  Applications for the new roll are now closed until May 19th, at which time you are free to apply to join the roll.  Please see Steven Arnold for more information
 
Coffee Morning and Plant Sale
On Saturday 24th May, there will be a wonderful plant sale and coffee morning with all the usual refreshments and goodies. Do come along to stock up your garden for the summer. 10am – 12 noon.
 
Ascension Day Service
This year the Southern Deanery Ascension Day service will be hosted by Christchurch Priory. The service will begin at 7.30pm, on Thursday 29th May. There will not be a joint choir this year as the music has already been chosen and organised by the Priory. Everyone is very welcome to this service.
 
Bingo Evening
There will be an evening’s entertainment on Friday 20th June, with bingo plus a ploughman’s supper plus desserts. Bring your own drinks. The evening is 6.30 for 7pm and tickets are £15 each and available from Joyce Colbourne.
 
Rogation Sunday – The Blessing of the Waters, Mudeford Quay
Sunday 25th May.  There will be a joint Holy Communion at St Luke’s at 10am and the annual Blessing of the Waters service down on Mudeford Quay at 3pm.  This year it falls on the RNLI Open Day and Blue Light event on the Green.  So come early and join in this special community occasion
