We are proud to support Christchurch food bank, especially during the Covid pandemic when so many have faced increasing hardship on a daily basis. For details of their essential work, do watch their video and see their Annual Review.
To support the Christchurch foodbank, you can place donations in the collection box, which is in the porch of St. Lukes' Church in Burton.

The most recent message from the foodbank (15th March):
"Good News... For God's Glory...The reason we do what we do.
We have been helping a young single mum with food, nappies, milk for the baby and furniture needed for the home, while having a cuppa and chat she asked about carpets as the children hurt themselves on the hard floor and it's hard to keep warm. We secured funding and used a local company to measure up and fit, we were able to add a paint/decorating voucher for her too. Today when we popped into the home to sign the carpet off we were amazed to see that in just one week, mum had painted nearly the whole house, the children were sitting up to the table (we gave) eating dinner together and mum said "for the first time this feels like our home".
We had a visit from one of our long term rough sleepers, with our support he has now been indoors for 2 months, he popped in to say Hi and have a coffee with the team. Relationships are key, walking on their journey at their pace. Thursdays are fabulous, many of our visitors cross the car park and are blessed by St Joseph's Church warm space, hot soup, sandwiches and company. Every visitor comes for food and leaves with Hope.
Our needs this week are:
Brightest Blessings"
Extra message (23rd March):
We are running very low on food. Please can you help with
